Instructions for Submitting Audition Video

  At the beginning of your video, please state    the following:

  • First and Last Name

  • The name of the role(s) you are auditioning for (please include Ensemble if interested)

  Sing your prepared audition song (approx.        30 seconds in length, or 16 bars)

   Notes about your Audition Video:

  • The quality of the video is not important as long as we can hear and understand you

  • We prefer songs from musical theatre, but contemporary and/or church songs will do in a pinch.

  • Note for Von Trapp Children auditionees: Wondering about appropriate songs to showcase your child’s range? Simply have your child sing “My Country ‘Tis of Thee,” “Happy Birthday,” or “Jesus Loves Me,” with or without background music.

  • Limit songs to 16 Bars (or 30 seconds) in length

  • Please sing your song with karaoke or piano accompaniment (does not apply to child actors; see note above).  This means you may need to play your accompaniment on one device while recording with another.

Auditions for Singing Roles (Virtual)

  • Filmed auditions and the audition form should be submitted using the Google Form link

  • Anyone who submitted an audition will receive an email with information on next steps no later than Monday, March 31st

  • Callbacks for singing roles will be in-person on THURSDAY, APRIL 3RD between 5:30pm and 8:30pm.

    • At callbacks, auditionees may be asked to read an excerpt from the script and/or learn and sing an excerpt from a song. If being asked to sing an excerpt from a song, auditionees will be notified in advance.

  • Following callbacks, final emails will be sent and the cast list posted to our social media platforms. ​
